Adobe Learning Summit 2024
This morning, I visited the Adobe Learning Summit 2023 website to look up something about last year's Adobe Learning conference. This morning, I visited the Adobe Learning Summit 2023 website to look up something about last year's Adobe Learning conference. To my surprise, I discovered that the website has been revamped for the upcoming Adobe Learning Summit 2024, set to take place at the prestigious Resorts World, Las Vegas, on October 2 and 3.
I'm excited about the location. The Adobe Learning Summit has been held at the Mirage, The MGM Grand, and the Old Hard Rock Hotel (now Virgin Hotels Las Vegas). These are all older and somewhat tired Las Vegas resorts showing their age. Most of the conferences I've attended were at the Mirage, which looks impressive when you walk in, but by the time you get to your room, you see the resort's age.
Resorts World Las Vegas is different from your average Vegas hotel. Opened in 2021, Resorts World is the glitziest new addition to the Strip, boasting a whopping $4.3 billion price tag. It's all about luxury – spacious rooms, high-end shopping, and a world-class spa. If this conference will be your first Learning and Development Las Vegas Conference, Resorts World will combine extravagance and top-notch hospitality.
Check out the Adobe Learning Summit and Resorts World websites to learn about the conference and location.
https://adobe-learning-summit.elearning.adobeevents.com/
The first year I attended the Adobe Learning Summit was in 2016. Adobe held the conference at the MGM Grand. At the time, it was a co-located event with DEVLEARN. Today, Adobe Learning Summit is an entirely independent conference. DEVLEARN, while a much larger event, tends to cater to other eLearning platforms and services, and there are seldom Adobe Captivate-specific sessions for people like you and me. If you are an Adobe Captivate designer or developer, the Adobe Learning Summit is the conference you want to attend.
The website needs more details on the conference at this time. However, you can expect Adobe to update the site occasionally as we get closer to the event. There is usually a fee for this conference, as Adobe is holding it at a Las Vegas hotel. Similar conferences can charge over USD 1,000 for registration. While there will undoubtedly be a special rate for the hotel for conference attendees, traditionally, the Adobe Learning Summits conference fees are reasonable. I would expect around USD 500. However, they often make early-bird pricing available during the summer, where you can save $100 or more.
If it interests you, I would discuss this conference with your supervisor or manager. Sometimes, convincing your boss to send you to Las Vegas can be an uphill battle, but your best bet is to prepare an email now focusing on your organization's benefits. Here is a sample I created with the help of AI:
Dear [Manager Name],
I am writing to express my strong interest in attending the upcoming Adobe Learning Summit in Las Vegas, which is scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd.
Staying at the forefront of learning and development (L&D) trends and technologies is crucial for our team's success. The Adobe Learning Summit offers a unique opportunity to:
Gain in-depth knowledge of the latest version of Adobe Captivate: I am particularly interested in learning more about creating custom interactions. This knowledge will allow me to Optimize our current L&D workflows and create more engaging and effective learning experiences for our employees.
Explore new possibilities for using Adobe tools to address emerging training needs within the company.
Learn from industry experts: The summit features sessions led by leading L&D professionals and Adobe product specialists. This will allow me to Gain valuable insights on best practices in eLearning design and development.
Discover innovative approaches to address current L&D challenges faced by our department.
Network with peers: The summit provides a platform to connect with other L&D professionals from various industries. This will allow me to Exchange ideas and best practices that can be applied to our L&D programs.
Explore potential collaborations that could further enhance our training initiatives.
The knowledge and connections gained at the summit will significantly benefit our L&D department. Upon my return, I am committed to sharing what I have learned with the team and developing a comprehensive report outlining key takeaways and actionable insights.
I am happy to discuss flexible work arrangements during the summit dates to ensure minimal disruption to our workflow.
Thank you for considering my request. I am available to discuss this further at your convenience.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
L&D Specialist
I will be throwing my hat in the ring to present a session on the All New Adobe Captivate. I'm working on a longer-form presentation on Accessibility that I might use for this conference. Often, Adobe asks me to present a particular topic. Many speakers at the conference are usually software users, just like you and me. There are other benefits to being a speaker. Most notably, you can attend the conference for free. Also, Adobe holds a pre-conference dinner for attendees the night before the first day. If you are interested in presenting a session, you can fill out the form on this page, and perhaps I will see you in the "green room."

Adobe Learning Summit 2023, Las Vegas, Nevada
Adobe is once again hosting the Adobe Learning Summit 2023 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas on October 2nd and 3rd, 2023.
Adobe is once again hosting the Adobe Learning Summit 2023 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas on October 2nd and 3rd, 2023. Adobe's online events during the pandemic were a good substitution for in-person conferences. Still, there is no substitute for attending these conferences in person. One of the conference's most important benefits is meeting my fellow Adobe Captivate users in person. I have developed business and personal relationships with many people I've met at these conferences, and I wouldn't trade these experiences for anything.
My experience
Being a YouTube creator is often a one-way experience; I put out content each week on Adobe Captivate or other learning technologies, and while your comments on the videos are a great way to get your feedback and find out what's happening in the industry, seeing, and hearing your feedback in person is tremendously valuable to me. I also love meeting each of you who supported me and allowed me to grow my YouTube channel into what it is today. Remember, I'm just another user of Adobe software. Please don't be shy; walk up and say hello if you see me.
Las Vegas
One of the remarkable aspects of this event is that Adobe holds this conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Adobe has negotiated a reasonable rate with the resort, and you can book your room directly through the conference website. Remember that other hotels are in the area, many within walking distance of the Mirage, so research what is best for you. I like to book with websites that can find you a combined rate with your flight to save some extra money.
Adobe could hold this conference anywhere in North America, but a genuine benefit of this conference is that they have it in Las Vegas. You'll want to attend as many sessions as possible during each of the two days of the conference, but that leaves you with lots of time to get out and explore all that Vegas has to offer. Even if you don't gamble, there are unlimited dining and entertainment options for you to enjoy.
Conference snapshot
There are two tracks of learning - the Creator Studio Track for creators of online learning and the Learning Strategy Track for people like learning and development managers and those in either customer experience or sales and marketing roles.
On both days, there will be more extensive sessions where everyone gathers for presentations from the Adobe eLearning team. Take advantage of these, as there tend to be incredible keynote presentations from industry leaders, cutting-edge information, and sneak peeks on upcoming updates to the software.
Remember that Adobe provides breakfast and lunch with your conference pass. If you are convincing your boss to send you to this conference, that's an important consideration to ensure they are aware of.
Creator Studio Track
Being an eLearning developer isn't just one set of abilities. You must often be adept in many of the creative skills. Adobe has arranged plenty of sessions and workshops for you. There will be sessions on:
Needs Assessment
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express
Course design documentation
Adobe Illustrator
Animation
Storyboarding
Video editing
Not unexpectantly, there are Adobe Captivate sessions on the following topics:
Custom design options
Course building
Interactive simulations
Custom interactions
Game-based learning
There will also be an opportunity for you to showcase your content.
My Session
I will conduct “Create custom interactions using the all-new Adobe Captivate,“ a one-hour session with a 30-minute Q&A. I intend to help new and previous users who want to script their actions to do a little more than just clicking next to go to another slide. I haven’t designed my session, but I’m considering teaching how to build a scenario-based interaction with click-to-reveals that include audio and multi-state objects. Don’t hold me to that, but I promise if you like getting under the hood of the software you use, you will enjoy my session.
Learning Strategy Track
If you decide to inform your manager ;) about the Learning Strategy Track, here is a breakdown of what Adobe's has for them:
Unlocking your organization's potential with continuous learning
How AI Innovations are impacting organizational learning
Creating impactful employee experiences
Connecting employees and learning for total experience excellence
Evolving into a business-driven learning function
Skills to ride the wave of digital in L&D as an L&D leader
Drive high-velocity business performance in a hybrid world
Accelerating performance through engagement strategies
Leveling up knowledge quotient for channel partners with gamification
Virtual engagement studio
The missing link in your CX: customer training
individualize training to enable the workforce of the future
Building informed strategies from comprehensive learning data
Adobe Professional Certification
One tremendous benefit of the Adobe Learning Summit is that each participant will get access to the online curriculum for the Adobe Professional Certification. Once ready you can complete the proctored exam and gain this certification. Not only will you have the knowledge and skills to expertly navigate Adobe Captivate but you will have the certification to prove it. Adobe normally sells this course and exam for $499. Considering what you would pay for the conference fee, this certification doesn’t end up costing you or your organization anything at all.
In conclusion
I hope to see you there at the Adobe Learning Summit 2023, and if you decide to go there, I hope you attend my session on the all-new Adobe Captivate. I promise you will walk away with more knowledge and skills than when you started.
Demand for the Adobe Learning Summit is High
Scarcity seems to increase demand. The Adobe Learning Summit Creator Labs Track is sold out, and you can only put yourself on the waiting list.
Registration
Scarcity seems to increase demand. The Adobe Learning Summit Creator Labs Track is sold out, and you can only put yourself on the waiting list. The folks at Adobe probably wouldn't endorse this suggestion, but here is my conference hack for this event. The FAQ for the conference says the following about switching to sessions in another track. Yes, you can build your own schedule with a mix of sessions from both tracks. However, the first preference for sessions on either track will be given to participants registered explicitly for that track due to capacity restrictions. Any additional seats remaining will be available on a first-come, first-served basis based on availability.
So I advise that if you want to go to the Adobe Learning Summit in Las Vegas in two weeks, register for the Design Thinking and Strategy Track but attend the sessions you can. Keep in mind that they have invited additional speakers to accommodate the demand. For example, Joe Ganci and I will deliver the same session, so there will be two sessions on the same topic.
Here is the link to the registration site for this conference: https://adobe-learning-summit.elearning.adobeevents.com/
Recommended Sessions
I don’t need to tell you why I want to attend the Project Charm Test Kitchen or the What’s New At Adobe session, but I think you should make a concerted effort to attend the following sessions, and I’ll tell you why.
Keynote: Digital Persuasion - Ignite your Influence
Erin King will be presenting this session. She is a best-selling author and a successful entrepreneur. The session will discuss how to persuade people in the digital world. I know one of the things I’ve always found challenging is compliance with my online learning. So I want to attend this keynote to learn a thing or two to get more people to put their eyeballs on my material.
Learning Is The Missing Piece Of Your CX Culture Plan
I’m looking forward to learning from Katy Tynan about getting the customer experience mindset into the learning in an organization. CX is a topic that I’m passionate about, and I’m hoping she can provide some insight as to what we can do to improve organizations in this area.
Creating scenario-based learning using Adobe Captivate
Of course, I hope you attend my session. I will be there. In my eLearning developer journey, I learned that creating training that incorporates a storytelling aspect and choices for your learners is more engaging than regular training. Still, I will show you how easy it is with Adobe Captivate. My hope is this session will inspire you to take your eLearning from the same old dull “click next to continue“ type of course into something that will remind your learners of real situations they have encountered in the workplace. Not only that, but they will learn by seeing the consequences of their choices in the safe space of eLearning.
Staying in Vegas
Hotels
In past years I have recommended the MGM MyVegas app. You accumulate points by playing online casino games, which can be exchanged for great bargains in Vegas. I have found this year that the deals are not so great. In the past, I have exchanged my “coins” for complimentary nights in hotels. This time around, I had trouble booking nights as certain days were blacked out, and the price per night was much higher than I remember. This year I got a Groupon for Ballys across the street from the Mirage. Here’s the link if you want to be close but save a few dollars: Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, NV
Food
The conference provides complimentary breakfast and lunch for all three days, so make sure you keep your per diem in your pocket for dinner, as there are some excellent restaurants in the area. Besides, the Mirage food is above average for hotel food, so even if you take a break from sessions at the conference, come down from your room and join the rest of us for lunch.
Last year at another eLearning-related conference, I went out for dinner at Carmines, located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. It was fantastic, with significant portions and real authentic Italian food. Here’s the website: https://www.carminesnyc.com/locations/las-vegas
If you are on a fast food budget, there are several restaurants within walking distance from the Mirage. Do yourself a favor, and try something you can’t just get at home. I’m from the East coast, so In and Out Burger is a treat for me, and I would much more likely grab a meal there instead of McDonald’s or something else similar.
Stuff to do
You will be in Las Vegas for at least three days, and the conference doesn’t run around the clock. If you don’t get to Las Vegas too often, I recommend you get out of the hotel and see some stuff. There is so much you can do in the Vegas area. I have gone to shows, including several of the Cirque du Soleil shows, I already mentioned dining out, which can certainly be a form of entertainment, and of course, gambling.
Overall my message to everyone is to be careful. Be cautious whether you decide to venture out on your own or see if you can double your bank balance before leaving this unique city. Keep your wallets in your front pocket and assume that if a person or character offers to take a selfy with you, they expect a tip.
Adobe eLearning World 2020
I'm pleased to let you know that I will be speaking at the Adobe eLearning World 2020 conference this week, but I'm not alone. There are a bunch of Adobe Captivate and other eLearning professionals that will provide you with a myriad of knowledge on the industry and this powerful tool.
I'm pleased to let you know that I will be speaking at the Adobe eLearning World 2020 conference this week, but I'm not alone. There are a bunch of Adobe Captivate and other eLearning professionals that will provide you with a myriad of knowledge on the industry and this powerful tool. I'm planning on sitting in as many of the following sessions that I can.
June 23, 2020
On Tuesday, there is an exciting session with Nathan Finley and my pal Andrew Hughes. We all know that learners learn best when they are having fun. How can you do that? Nathan and Andrew are going to be talking about Game Design and creating game mechanics with Adobe Captivate. Andrew and Nathan's session is sure to be a game-changer (pun intended).
June 24, 2020
On Wednesday, there is the keynote not to be missed with Josh Bersin. Publications such as Forbes, Harvard Business Review and the Wall Street Journal have all featured Josh. He presently has over 800,000 followers on Linkedin. I think he'll be worth listening to. If you miss the keynote on Wednesday, it’ll be repeated on Thursday.
Also on Wednesday is Anastasia McCune. You might know her if you've taken Adobe Captivate Software training on Linkedin Learning. She'll be teaching all of us how to convert any on-screen content into interactive eLearning. I'm looking forward to hearing her speak and seeing what she has to show us. Afterwards, you can add an assessment using the options taught to us by Joe Ganci. I've known Joe for a few years now. Assessment is a staple of Adobe Captivate, but if I know Joe, he'll have some secrets to share that will make your question slides excellent.
June 25, 2020
Thursday is my session. It's called Create Basic "Mobile-First" Responsive Projects Using Templates or as I prefer to call it Customize Adobe Captivate Responsive Quick Start Projects. In this session, you will learn how to customize slides from the Adobe Captivate responsive, quick-start projects from the Assets Store. This session will help you to rapidly build an eLearning course that not only looks great on your desktop but functions correctly on a mobile phone or tablet.

What to Expect at the Adobe Learning Summit 2019 | Sept 2, 12:00 PM EDT | 16:00 UTC
Many of you may be attending the Adobe Learning Summit in Las Vegas for the first time this fall. You may also be undecided if you want to go. In this eLearning Livestream, I'm going to talk about my experience as a presenter but more importantly, I will be discussing my experience as an attendee. I can give you some hints and tips for making it a truly rewarding and productive experience. Also, I will answer any questions in the live chat.
Sorry for the short notice. Originally I wasn't going to livestream on Monday because of how much work I needed to get done before the Adobe Captivate Specialist session on the 11th, my vacation on the 18th and the Adobe Captivate Specialist session on October 2nd and the Adobe Learning Summit on the 3rd, but I figured this would be a fun topic to cover about one month before the actual summit.

Are You Unsure About Attending the Adobe Learning Summit?
You’ve been thinking about how you would like to go to the Adobe Learning Summit this October in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, you’re unsure your L&D manager will approve the request, after all, it is Vegas. She probably thinks it’s just going to be a company paid party at her budgets expense.

Unfortunately, you’re unsure your L&D manager will approve the request, after all, it is Vegas. She probably thinks it’s just going to be a company paid party at her budgets expense. Well, let me assure you that while I can guarantee you’ll have fun, you will come away with some excellent knowledge and skills. You see I’ve not only been a speaker at the Adobe Learning Summit since 2016, but I’m also an attendee as well.

Let me assure you that while I can guarantee you'll have fun, you will come away with some excellent knowledge and skills. You see, I've not only been a speaker at the Adobe Learning Summit since 2016, but I also consider myself an attendee as well. I'm not going to fly to Las Vegas, speak for one hour, and then turn around and leave. I want to learn from others, as well.
If you are unsure about attending a conference so far away, let’s consider the cost. According to CityExtremes.com, the furthest domestic big city from Las Vegas in the United States is Boston. Let's say you lived in Boston. Using Expedia.com, I searched for flights from Boston. Non-stop return flights started from $231. Adobe has negotiated hotel rates of $99 per night plus a $35 resort fee. Adobe's conference registration fee is $0. For less than half of just what it costs only to register at the other eLearning conference in town, you will likely cover all your expenses. Of course, I can't guarantee this if you spend too much time in the Casino afterwards. Oh, and by the way, Adobe will even buy you breakfast and lunch on the day of the conference.
If you are new to Adobe Captivate, I strongly encourage you to sign up and complete your Adobe Captivate Specialist Certification the day before the conference. The regular price to get certified is $799. However, Adobe offers conference attendees a reduced rate of $499. The Certification is a blended solution that starts with exercise files that you work through at home with video-based instruction provided by the world-famous Dr. Pooja Jaisingh. Usually, you have about two weeks before the event to complete these pre-workshop activities but don’t wait until the last minute to enroll as this workshop typically sells out. The certification is a bring-your-own-laptop event. Make sure you have at least the trial version of Adobe Captivate 2019 installed so you can work through all the activities.
During the workshop itself, you will arrive at the facilities, complete your registration, have a little breakfast and then assemble in your assigned classroom. As an instructor, I can tell you that you will have a rewarding but full day - come prepared to learn. There are four segments to the classroom instruction. There will be plenty of breaks and complimentary breakfast and lunch. Once we have finished the teaching, you will write your assessment. You will know right away if you have passed the evaluation. If you finish early, remember others might be still be writing their assessment, so celebrate quietly. The following day at the conference you will receive your certificate and be photographed by the Adobe professional photographer.
On the second day and the day of the actual conference, here is what to expect. First will be the welcome and opening remarks. Next, you will be in for a keynote from Julian Treasure. Not sure who he is? Julian is a five-time TED talk speaker:
...so you are in for a great talk just with Julian Treasure's keynote, but that's just the beginning.
Next, you'll learn what's new from Adobe. This talk includes the sneak peeks you might have heard about before. This session is where Adobe lifts the curtain just a little bit to reveal what features "might" be coming in the next release of Adobe Captivate. Attendees from previous Adobe conferences learned about virtual reality, interactive video and other improvements to Adobe Captivate months before everyone else. The What's New section is also where you find out about the latest features for Captivate Prime, and Adobe Connect.
Between sessions, you’ll have an opportunity to grab a hot or cold beverage and a snack. More importantly, make sure you have a pocket full of business cards with you. One thing about being an L&D professional is that there aren’t many of us. I’m a freelancer, so I often work in isolation, but even when I worked for an organization, I was often the only employee working on eLearning. I’m thankful I’ve built many relationships at these conferences. I can now reach out to colleagues and ask advice or share ideas. Use networking breaks to meet new people and build relationships. It’s certainly paid off for me.
Next will be the first set of learning tracks. The learning tracks are breakout sessions where you can select a session that best suits your needs. Perhaps you can involve your manager in deciding what learning track will most suit the needs of your organization. It's important to make management feel like they are part of the process. There are separate blocks of sessions divided into beginner, advanced, multimedia, LMS, and virtual learning, but you don’t have to stay within a specific track. For example, you might want to attend my session entitled “Mobile Learning using Ready-to-go slides and Fluid Boxes.” My session is from the Advanced Track, but you could also attend a session from any other track throughout the day.
After the first group of sessions, we will break for lunch. In the past, many of the session speakers like to sit together. No offence gang but I've met you all before. What I want to do is have lunch with a whole new group of people. If you follow my video tutorials on YouTube and would like to meet me for lunch, invite me to your table. I want to get to know you and hear all about the different sessions that I couldn’t attend. One thing I can promise is that the Mirage catering department puts out a fantastic lunch. You won’t be hungry or disappointed.
After lunch, will be the second set of sessions. The one I’m most interested in is “Creating Virtual Reality Walkthroughs using Adobe Captivate.” I’ve embraced all the new features in Captivate 2019, but I haven’t had much opportunity or experience with VR. I’m hoping Debbie Richards has some hints and tips for making really cool VR eLearning.
After the second set of sessions is another networking break, so again get your business cards out. During the breaks are usually the best time to stop me and say hello. I'm always happy to meet new L&D colleagues, especially if you're a subscriber to my YouTube channel.
The third group of sessions will be next. I’m interested in Josh Cavalier’s session on how to make use of the video-based features in Captivate. It's tough to decide because there are some excellent sessions at the same time as Josh’s.
In the final block of sessions, I’m very interested in Andrew Hughes’ session on making Compliance and Soft Skills eLearning. His description alone is worth reading. I bet anyone walking away from his session will have all the strategies to make some really engaging eLearning.
I can’t reiterate it enough. The Adobe Learning Summit, in combination with the Adobe Captivate Specialist Certification, is the best value in eLearning professional development there is. Even if you must fly in from as far away as Boston or in my case Toronto, you will walk away with so much more than when you started. If you want any questions answered about the conference or the certification, feel free to message me over on twitter. My handle is https://twitter.com/CaptivateTeachr, and I will be happy to answer them for you. Hopefully, I will see you soon in Vegas.

The Adobe Learning Summit at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada is fast approaching and I’m really looking forward to it. The Adobe Learning Summit is held at the MGM Grand Conference Center, part of the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. The Adobe Learning Summit is a concurrent event held alongside the eLearning Guilds DevLearn conference, which is also held at the MGM Grand hotel. If you want to go and haven’t already signed up you can do so here.
This is my first Adobe Learning Summit and only my second Adobe sponsored conference. The first was the Adobe eLearning Conference held in the spring of this year, in Washington D.C. At this conference, I will be conducting a session entitled Create mLearning in 60 Minutes where I will review the techniques for integrating location-based technology into your Adobe Captivate eLearning and specifically mLearning projects. I will be sharing many of my secrets for not only preparing for rapid development but also how to design with mobile in mind.
One of the advantages of being asked to conduct a session at Adobe Learning Summit is that I will get to enjoy all the event has to offer as well. There are four tracks that are occurring simultaneously throughout the day. There is the Design & Authoring track, which my session is a part of; the eLearning Strategy track, which focuses on strategies that make your eLearning projects effective; the Hands-on track, where participants get hands-on experience with the applications from Adobe; and lastly the Future of eLearning, which addresses more of the bleeding edge of where the technology is taking us. My session is only an hour long so I have to decide what to participate in for the remainder of the day. Of course, I would love to have the time to see everything, however, that would require that I clone myself or get everyone to agree to come to my house and present their sessions all over again.
In the morning there will be the usual stuff like registration, a little continental breakfast and a kickoff with some opening notes, however right after all that will be the Keynote from Dan Lyons who will speak about his learning from a year in start-up hell. This will be in the grand ballroom and I’m looking forward to learning from him. I myself am around the year and a half mark with my freelance business and I still have many questions that are presently unanswered. Perhaps I’ll get some insight.
After Dan Lyons will be a thirty-minute session on what’s new from Adobe. There are some rumours that we will learn about the next release of Adobe Captivate. I’m not sure if this is when we will learn those details but I will be there to gather as much information as I can.
From 10:00 AM until 11:00 I have a choice between Storyboarding Essentials for Better Course Design with Sarah Gilbert, Gamify the Learner Experience with Lucas Blair, or the Modern LMS: Smart, Simple, Self-service with Jesse Novak. Alternatively, if I’m willing to dedicate my whole morning to it, I could also join my friends Anita Horsley and Pooja Jaisingh for their hands-on session Get the Best out of Adobe Captivate. I can’t decide but you can bet you will see me in one of these sessions.
From 11:15 AM until lunch time I can also choose between Make the Best Use of Multimedia Assets with Andrew Scivally, Foster a Learning Culture with Allen Partridge, or Interactive Video Learning: The Next Big Thing with Steve Haskin. I have to admit that I’m most interested in how to foster a learning culture. I know this is something one of my previous employers struggled with and I know that Allen is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to this sort of thing, however, I’m very interested in the use of multi-media in learning so Andrew and Steve are giving Allen some stiff competition. I’m just not sure.
After lunch, I will obviously be in my own session on the previously mentioned techniques on mLearning but if this doesn’t interest you, I totally understand if you want to check out Learner Evaluation Strategies with Jane Bozarth, Microlearning: Small Bytes, Big Returns with Ray Jimenez. In addition, fellow Canadian Phil Cowcill, and one of my eLearning heroes Joe Ganci will be conducting a hands-on session called Build Custom Interactions Using Advanced Actions, Variables, and JavaScript, which promises to allow you to get your hands dirty (in a good way).
In the last set of sessions, you can also pick up some great skills from my friend Damien Bruyndonckx who will be conducting a session called Ten Design Hacks with Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Captivate. In addition, there will be a session called Putting Mobile at the Center of Your Learning Strategy with Robert Gadd, and once again my friend Pooja Jaisingh will be addressing shrinking attention spans in her session.
We will all regroup in the Grand Ballroom at the Conference Center and hear once again from Allen Partridge with a tech sneak peek. It’s my guess that this is when we might learn something about the next version of Adobe Captivate. Followed by a closing session, likely with more people from the Adobe eLearning team. My guess is this is where you may get some time for questions and answers.
I’m really looking forward to getting together with all my Adobe Captivate friends and making some new friends. I hope to see you all there.
